(4/18) CALL 'EM THE 'DOOM & BROOM BRAVES': The Rome Braves have swept Kannapolis for the second time this year season. Today's early afternoon win (6-2 final) comes just hours after a marathon 13-inning showdown Monday night. Rome beat the Intimidators in four straight to open the season at home. The Braves return to State Mutual Stadium Thursday night> BOX

That's the K Man (Ernie Studard) with the G Man, Gov. Sonny Perdue himself, at Steeplechase on Saturday. Perdue was a special guest at the 41st running of the benefit. K Man was in action, taking additional photos of the governor and others from Rome/Floyd County.
